The ASF tool kit is a mechanism for helping policy advisors and policy makers to implement the Auckland Sustainability Framework (ASF). It is intended to ensure strategies and decision-making are consistent with the ASF, that they are coherent and well-integrated with each other, and that they reflect the principles of sustainable development.
By following the three steps of the tool kit - scan, scrutinise and summarise - policy advisors and makers will improve policy alignment across the region and contribute to the vision, goals and shifts identified in the ASF.
Together with the ASF, the tool kit encourages connected thinking across the region's organisations and disciplines. It expands future thinking to incorporate 100 year timeframes and will help develop a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
