On 17 April 2009, the Regional Sustainable Development Forum (RSDF) received the first update of the One Plan Version 1 programmes of action.
As well as including information on how projects associated with each of the seven programmes of action are progressing, the monitoring report also provides details on developments since October 2008, contribution to the region's sustainable development and connections with other programmes.
The objective of the monitoring report is to ensure that the seven programmes of action are being implemented as intended and that benefits associated with integration and leverage are being realised.
The next update is scheduled for after Long Term Council Community Plan processes have been completed.
The Royal Commission into Auckland Governance is now complete.
The Royal Commission's report was delivered to government in late March 2009 and released to the public on 27 March 2009. On 7 April 2009 central government announced their response and made a series of high level decisions.
The Royal Commission's report acknowledges the collaborative work of the Auckland councils in producing One Plan and supports its ongoing development. Work on the three pronged approach to One Plan content development will continue as directed by the RSDF:
