On 27 June 2008 the RSDF resolved that public and key stakeholder consultation take place and this will happen in three stages. The first stage being One Plan party and stakeholder engagement and feedback 27 June until 19 September 2008. Feedback from this first stage of consultation will inform the final draft of One Plan version 1.
On June 27 RSDF endorsed the Draft One Plan for the Auckland region (One Plan version 1). At that meeting The RSDF also resolved that public consultation be undertaken on One Plan version 1. Consultation will take place in three stages. The first stage being One Plan party and stakeholder engagement and feedback from 27 June - 19 September 2008. Feedback from this first stage of consultation will inform the final draft of One Plan version 1.
This will be the first formal engagement between the RSDF partnership and its key stakeholders in the community. This engagement will lay the foundations for an ongoing relationship and will establish the role that those parties will play in the implementation of One Plan in the Auckland region.
Key stakeholders can be separated into two groups, depending on the extent of their involvement in the One Plan process or implementation:
Stakeholder consultation will involve briefings or presentations with significant groups. These will be designed to enable consistent, efficient and effective communication of the One Plan and its objectives while providing an opportunity for stakeholder questions and comments. The existing One Plan Communications Plan will form the basis of this communication.
Interactions with key stakeholders will involve face to face engagement. These stakeholders include agencies who are not members of the RSDF but who are important to the plan's implementation, either because they will implement the One Plan programmes or the Infrastructure Plan. These meetings will be used to establish the ambit of each party's responsibilities for the delivery of One Plan. The outcome of this dialogue will also add further definition to the One Plan programmes and the development of the Infrastructure Plan.
